Proposed Amendments in Patent Rules, 2003

IPO Pakistan’s mission is to integrate and upgrade IP infrastructure for improved service delivery, increased public awareness and enhanced enforcement coordination for achieving the goal of being an IP based Nation. Accordingly, a draft for amendments in the Patents Rules, 2003, The First schedule and the Second schedule have been prepared in consistency with the Patents Ordinance, 2000 and in the light of international best practices. The amendments have been proposed to enable time defined actions on application, standardization of application/request forms for patent services and streamlining the procedures for the facilitation of public.
