Muhammad Irfan Tarar, Director General, IPO-Pakistan

Mr. Muhammad Irfan Tarar, born on July 13, 1960, is a career civil servant. He joined civil services of Pakistan in 1985 and held key positions before joining IPO Pakistan. He served as Minister Trade, High Commission for Pakistan in New Delhi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan, Minister Trade for OIC, Consulate General of Pakistan, Jaddah, Saudia Arabia, DG, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Commercial Consoler, Embassy of Pakistan, Casablanca, Morocco and Director, Export Promotion Bureau, Pakistan. He holds Master degree in International relations besides attending various trainings and courses on commerce, business administration, and management. He joined IPO Pakistan as Director General in April, 2017. He has taken a number of initiatives to transform the organization into a vibrant, efficient and effective organization to improve service delivery and to promote IP culture in Pakistan.
